그 주변으로는 앞서 소개 해 드린 청와대 사랑채, 국립고궁박물관, 삼청동, 북촌 등과 연결 되어 있어 있으며,
그야말로 옛날이나 지금이나 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있는 곳입니다.
이 모든 곳들은 걸어서 도보가 가능합니다. 길만 건너면 인사동으로 가실 수 있구요~. 물론 조계사도 걸어 가실 수 있습니다^^.

 We are Korea’s leading institution about traditional life. We receive more than two million visitors annually and provide educational and cultural opportunities to better understand the traditional Korean lifestyle. Since its establishment in 1946, the National Folk Museum of Korea has primarily researched Korean folklife and acquired, preserved, and exhibited Korean folklife artifacts. Over the years, we have presented permanent and special exhibitions, published reports, and conducted public education programs including lectures. Now, in keeping with the paradigm for museums in the 21st century to be more responsive to the public and take an open and specialized approach, we are working to expand our visitor base and reach out to visitors more effectively.
