(05밀양영남루,표충사,얼음골,밀양아리랑) Mil yang - Yeong nam nu pavilion, Pyo chung Temple, Miryang arirang, Eoreumgol

Miryang, often spelled Milyang, is a city in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, South Korea.
Miryang is known around Korea for the Miryang arirang and for the view from the Yeongnamnu pavilion, subject of numerous poems from the Joseon Dynasty. Other noted landmarks include Eoreumgol and the temple of Pyochungsa. Famous people from Miryang include 15th-century Neo-Confucian scholar Kim Jong-jik and 16th-century warrior-monk Songun Yu Jeong. The city government works actively to maintain the memory of these figures, and of other local cultural features such as the tale of Arang.

Miryang is known as the home of the Miryang arirang. This is sometimes considered to be close to the original version of the arirang, which may have drawn its name from the Miryang area folktale of Arang. The Miryang Arirang Festival is held each May to commemorate and keep alive this tradition and other aspects of local heritage.

Miryang has been known for centuries for its scenery of mountains and valleys; the Yeongnamnu pavilion overlooking the Miryang River appears in numerous Joseon Dynasty writings. The northeastern corner of the city occupies a portion of the Yeongnam Alps; part of this region is included in Gajisan Provincial Park. Noted natural landmarks include the "ice valley" of Eoreumgol, also located in the northeast.

Many people enjoy hiking the Yeongnam Alps, Gajisan during the weekend. It is the best city spending your short weekend. Eoreumgol apple is so delicious.

The Yeongnamnu or Yeongnamru is a pavilion on a cliff overlooking the curve of the Miryang River in central Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It dates to the Joseon Dynasty and is one of the central cultural treasures of Miryang. The current structure was built in 1884 according to the design of then-magistrate Yi In-jae. During the Joseon period, this was known as one of the three great pavilions of Korea, together with the Chokseongnu in Jinju and the Pubyŏk pavilion in Pyongyang.
The Yeongnamnu itself is actually one of a complex of historic buildings. Stone-carved calligraphy from the Joseon period abounds in the pavilion complex. Also near the Yeongnamnu stand the Aranggak pavilion and the Miryang City Museum.
The first pavilion was probably constructed on this site in the Silla period, as part of the now-vanished temple of Yeongnamsa. That pavilion was torn down in the late Goryeo period and replaced by the precursor of the current structure. It became affiliated with the Miryang guesthouse, which thanks to Miryang's location on the Great Yeongnam Road often played host to officials traveling between Hanyang (Seoul) and Busan.
The Yeongnamnu shares its name with Yeongnam, the traditional region of Korea in which Miryang is located. In both cases, the name means "south of the pass." While the name of the region probably refers to Mungyeong Saejae or Haneuljae, the name of the pavilion and the temple may refer to Paljoryeong.

The Yeongnam Alps are a group of relatively tall mountains in the Yeongnam region of southeastern South Korea. They are much shorter than the European Alps, only slightly over 1000 m. The term is sometimes restricted to those peaks exceeding 1000 m in height, but may be informally extended to lower peaks in the same region. The area is a popular attraction for South Korean domestic tourism. This is due both to the mountain scenery and to the numerous landmarks in the region. These include the temples such as Tongdosa and Pyochungsa, the "ice valley" Eoreumgol, various waterfalls and hot springs.

Gajisan is a mountain in South Korea. It sits on the boundary between the city of Ulsan, the city of Miryang in the province of Gyeongsangnam-do, and Cheongdo County in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Gajisan has an elevation of 1,240 m (4,068 ft).

Eoreumgol or Ice Valley is a valley in Miryang, South Korea. It gets its name and its notoriety from the freezing cold found there even in midsummer. This phenomenon is believed to be due to local airflow patterns, particularly cold air emerging from underground.
The valley is situated on the slopes of Cheonhwangsan mountain, at about 600 m above sea level. It lies in Sammyeong-ri, Sannae-myeon, in northern Miryang, and covers a total area that is variously estimated at 9000 and 30000 m². The cold water flowing from the valley has traditionally been used for drinking by nearby residents.
One of Miryang's foremost tourist attractions, Eoreumgol is served by regular buses from the city center and is key to plans for boosting local tourism. In 1970 it was designated South Korean natural monument 224 by the national Cultural Heritage Administration.

Pyochungsa http://www.pyochungsa.or.kr/, originally Jungnimsa, is a Korean Buddhist temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It stands on the slopes of Jaeyaksan mountain near Cheonhwangsan in the Yeongnam Alps in Danjang-myeon, northern Miryang, South Korea.
Pyochungsa was first established by Wonhyo in 654 under the name "Jungnimsa." It was rebuilt at its present location by Hwangmyeon in 857, in the reign of the Silla king Heungdeok. In the Goryeo period, the National Preceptor Iryeon gathered more than a thousand monks there.
After Hideyoshi's invasions of Korea in the late 16th century, the temple was renamed "Pyochuongsa" (temple of fidelity displayed) in honor of Songun Yu Jeong, the monk who led various righteous armies against the Japanese. The Pyochuong Seowon, the only seowon located within the grounds of a Buddhist temple, was also constructed there in Songun's memory.
Due to its rich history and location in the Yeongnam Alps, Pyochungsa is a leading tourist attraction of Miryang. The temple is home to an incense burner which is designated National treasure of South Korea no. 75. In addition, the entire temple has been designated as Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Monument 17.
