Hongnyongsa (Temple)
Hongnyongsa (Temple) located in the middle of Chunseoungsan (Mt.) was burnt down during Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592 and only the foundation was remained for a several hundred years. It was rebuilt by Bupwha, a monk of Tongdosa (Temple), in 1910s. The name Hongnyongsa (Temple) is originated from Hongnyong Falls.
The temple was rebuilt, extended since the appoint of Woo-Gwang as the Abbot in 1970s. The presently remaining buildings are the Main Temple·a bell house·mediation room·dormitory. Hongnyongsa (Temple) as if hiding in the forest is famous for honest mediation unlike other temples expressing grandness.
